My Last First Day ...Sort of.
Today is the last-first-day-of class for me here at Ohio University. Although, I will be gracing the Athens campus once more for a fifth year next Fall, I consider today as my final "true" first-last day as a senior. And the only thought going through my head is, "WHERE HAS ALL THE TIME GONE!!" I can't believe that I've put in so much time. And I can honestly say that I've loved every minute of being here - well, maybe not the food poisioning night ...definitely didn't enjoy that one - but looking back, I really have no regrets in my college experience. And I think that's saying something.
So class this quarter is going to be fun. Why? Tennis, my friends, the glorious game of tennis. I've finally taken the time out of my busy schedule to enjoy some recreation classes. And what better way to kick off the easy-peasy classes than tennis. I'm truthfully a huge tennis fan. After watching the French Open last spring, I've been hooked ever since. Can we say Rafael Nadal anyone??! What a cutie! Anyone that can rock pirate, butt pants and a bandanna has my vote. So, I'm excited to see where this tennis class takes me in life. Especially since no one other than myself looked remotely athletic in my class ...but that could just be me. Watch I'll get stomped by some buck-ten girl with stick arms. Embarrassing? Quite possibly.
I've started having my QT's in the library again. It's so strange that I actually enjoy going to the library on my free time. But Alden has become this consistent oasis for me and my one-on-one time with the Lord. It brings a lot of consistency to my day too. I highly suggest finding that one place where you feel completely comfortable and relaxed and use that as "your spot". Trust me, the 4th floor under the fake palm tree is awesome. Check it out, but don't hog the space. It's prime estate.
What else, what else. I'm enjoying hanging out with people since they've been back to town. I played an intense game of ultimate frisbee on my day off last Monday and that was fun. I'm trying to work out the details with a few other girls about Athletes in Action this year. ( Much prayer appreciated ) And boys are fun. Period.
I hope all is going well with all of you. If you happen to read this and not get extremely bored, hollar back at me. Post a comment, I dare yah. It makes me feel special ...
