Spring Forward
Panama is over, unfortunately. It was amazing, as expected. And I made tons of memories and funny friends and I was able to see God do some amazing things on the beach. Speaking of the beach ...I love it. It has become my home away from home. I enjoy the bright sun and the smell of sun-tan lotion. I love the waves and trying to unsuccessfully skimboard. I love the hurricane-like weather that lasts a total of 30 minutes before the sun peeks it's head out to play again. I love being at the mercy of Beast #1. I love seeing people from project and worshiping to some awesome music. I love late nights on the beach and playing football against the fighting Illini. All great memories.
But a few things I won't want to remember: the bus ride ...as much fun as a bus ride is for the first, mmm, say 4 hours - it is NOT fun around hour 16. Especially when the heat was cranked all the way up and you were cooking, literally. For the ladies of 2711, you know what else happened that wasn't coo, but thanks to Dr. Sara my week was saved. (The storm did it!) But all of the seemingly "bad" things were far outweighed by all the good. Because God is good.
So, here I find myself at a crossroads. I'm back in Athens getting ready to start my third Spring quarter of my college career. It's amazing how fast the time flies. Crazy. I'm excited for this quarter and hopefully it won't be too busy. I'm only taking 13 credit hours which equals roughly 3 classes. So that won't be too bad, right? Soccer should be good. It's my last Spring off-season, which is weird to think about. This time next year I'll be done with soccer and looking for a replacement ...most likely I'll be waterskiing...hmm, come to think of it, that's a good trade.
Anyways, hope your Spring is good. Hopefully I'll see yah around. Glorious!
