Athens, Ohio 2005-2006
Welcome Back to school. Classes are starting up for most of you and you're heading back to your respective colleges and universites. I, myself, am back at Ohio but not for the same reason ...quite yet. No, I'm back here in Athens for the 2005-2006 preseason of the Ohio women's soccer team. This preseason has been pretty good so far. The freshman are hilarious and fit right in with the team, and it's been awesome living in my new house with some of my teammates. It's weird to think that this fall is my last fall of playing soccer. But let us not think of the future and talk about the end of my soccer career, but rather let us talk about the beginning ...
This season is going to be a great season. So many expectations and hopes are set on this year. MAC Champions and our first NCAA bid to be the ultimate goal. But only hard work and endurance throughout the season will get us there. I think it's possible and I know my teammates do too. We've had a few games already - won both - so it's a good record to start with. Although, there's still much that needs to be done ...it's exciting to catch a glimpse of what we are and can become by the end of it all. So get ready you Bobcat fans, it's gunna be a great season.
Classes are gearing up and looming around the corner in two weeks. Honestly, I'm very excited and can't wait to start. I think my class schedule will be interesting and fun ...or it will be once I drop my Beginning Greek class. Seriously, what was I thinking!? But I'm ready to see all my friends and start up my last full year at this wonderful institution of higher learning.
